The Mediatek MT8163 is a mobile processor that was launched in August 2015 and announced by the device maker of several smartphone brands. This chip features Four 1.3GHz Cortex A7 cores. The SoC is designed in-house by Mediatek and manufactured by TSMC using a 28 nm process technology. The MT8163 integrates the Mali T720 MP2 GPU running at 520 MHz and supports 2GB of memory. It can be configured with the company’s Mediatek modem, offering peak download speeds of up to 50 Mbps.
